This full time position in HAC's Energy Department is a wonderful opportunity for a person who wants to enter the energy conservation industry or who has experience as an energy auditor. Training opportunities are available for the right person to become a certified energy auditor. Duties include outreach to prospective customers; conducting energy and electric assessments in single-family homes; writing work orders for installation of weatherization measures; working with weatherization contractors through the installation process; conducting quality control inspections and processing information using software programs. Skills required include excellent time management, organization, customer service, a good work ethic and computer literacy. Must be independent and a team player. Experience and/or knowledge of weatherization measures and science and/or single-family home construction is a plus. A valid driver’s license required.

The position is responsible for inspecting homes occupied by tenants receiving rental assistance to ensure units comply with HUD’s Housing Quality Standards, DHCD standards, and state sanitary codes as they apply. This multifaceted position will work under the direction of the Inspection Supervisor. The ideal candidate must be able to work independently, and attend training seminars as needed. The candidate must be able to maintain a positive work environment, and communicate with tenants and landlords in a professional manner. The candidate will also be responsible for scheduling inspections, interpreting inspection results and reports as necessary and inputting inspection results into a state database. A valid driver’s license is required and must be maintained.

Quality Control Inspector
HAC's Energy & Repair Department is seeking a Quality Control Inspector who will be responsible for inspecting work standards and workmanship of weatherization measures that are completed by subcontractors. This technical position requires a person with experience in the energy, weatherization and/or heating systems fields. Significant training possibilities are available for the right candidate. The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience: energy conservation, building analysis, residential construction, heating systems, problem solver, works well with all people and customer service. The right candidate will be capable of working independently and being a team member. Salary is commensurate with experience. A valid driver's license is required.
