HUMAN RESOURCE COORDINATOR

A full-time, benefit-eligible position exists for a Human Resource (HR) Coordinator. The HR Coordinator manages a variety of Human Resource functions, including, but not limited to onboarding, including background checks and orientation; off-boarding, including COBRA and Unemployment. The HR Coordinator administers all areas of the benefits package; administers all FMLA, workers comp claims, and leaves of absences; assists and supports managers with the performance management process; assists managers with the process of disciplinary actions and grievance procedures; and provides guidance to managers and employees in the administration of HR policies and programs. 

The HR Coordinator will work with leadership on updating policies and procedures, and educates managers regarding compliance. This position will oversee the recruitment process; manage and process bi-weekly payroll, including reconciliation of payroll accounts and processing of vendor bills; and serve as the Safety Officer and provide safety audits and annual safety training to staff. The HR Coordinator works under the supervision of the Chief Operating Officer.

STAFF ACCOUNTANT

Housing Assistance Corporation is currently seeking an experienced staff accountant to join our finance team. This full-time, benefit-eligible position is responsible for performing general accounting and bookkeeping, including journal entries, reconciliations, payables/receivables, preparing financial reports and department budgets. Experience with government contracts is desirable. The ideal candidate will have previous work experience with accounting software packages such as Sage 100. 

A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and demonstrated knowledge of accounting and finance functions are a must. A BS in accounting is preferred.

INTAKE COORDINATOR/RECEPTIONIST

The Intake Coordinator/Receptionist position is responsible for greeting Housing Assistance clients and visitors upon entry to 460 West Main Street. This position answers incoming phone calls; distributes all incoming correspondence; collects and enters client data into appropriate software systems; ensures that customer service practices are providing a positive experience and are aligned with company values; and provides triage and initial information about housing programs and referral services to clients. 

Qualifications for this position include the ability to capture and enter client information in electronic databases, strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to be compassionate, ability to interact with high-risk clients while being respectful, and keeping appropriate boundaries. Knowledge regarding housing programs is a plus!

This position requires the ability to work from 8:30 am to 2 pm, Monday through Friday, and a half day on Saturdays as part of a rotating six-week schedule. This position reports to the Information and Client Services Manager.

FAMILY THERAPIST

A full-time benefit eligible position exists to enhance the recovery potential of women in recovery and their children. The Family Therapist should have a master's degree in counseling, social work, or marriage and family therapy with two years of substance abuse counseling experience. Independent level of licensure required (LMHC, LMFT, LICSW).

The program needs someone who is interested in maintaining a trauma-informed treatment set of protocol for a residential facility that has functioned as a role model for 20 years. The ideal candidate must show they have working experience being creative, compassionate, computer literate, and good with children of all ages. The therapist will provide clinical family services through group and family therapy under the supervision of the Clinical Director and Program Director.

VILLAGE AT CATAUMET SHELTER SUPPORT STAFF (PART-TIME)

HAC is looking for support staff for nights, weekends, and holidays/per diem for our family homeless shelter located in Bourne. The shelter serves families who are experiencing homelessness and helps them to stabilize their housing situation. 

Qualified applicants will have an interest or experience working with families in crisis; be dependable and reliable; and be able to follow shelter procedures. The following shifts are currently available: 

  • Saturdays, 8 am-8 pm; Saturdays, noon-midnight
  • Sundays, 8 am-8 pm; Sundays, noon-midnight
  • Monday-Friday evening shifts, 4-8 pm and 4 pm-midnight
  • Holiday coverage

Shelter support staff reports to the Shelter Director.
