Workforce Housing
The Cape Cod Workforce Housing Taskforce is focused on identifying and implementing solutions that will lead to the creation of economically diversified housing that our workforce can afford.
That action plan is in review now by the task force, as well as the Cape Cod Business Roundtable.
Already approved short-term goals include:
- A regional housing needs study
- Hiring of a regional housing planner at the Cape Cod Commission
- Creation of WRAP a worker rental assistance program supported by local employers
- Adoption of a Cape Cod 40B an expedited version of the current law that will encourage the creation of workforce housing, particularly in smart growth areas
